GroundworkPrivacy Policy
Groundwork is a study app for the FAA private pilot knowledge test, published by Cloudy Tuesdays LLC ("we", "us").
What stays on your device
Your progress (which facts you have learned and when each one is due for review), your practice test scores, your test date and your settings are stored on your iPhone, and in that iPhone's own iCloud or computer backup if you use one. They stay with you and are not sent to us.
If you turn on the optional daily reminder, Groundwork schedules it as a local notification on your iPhone. Your iPhone creates and delivers it, and nothing is sent to us.
What we collect
We collect none of your information. Groundwork works offline. It goes online only when you tap one of the links in Settings: the FAA sources, Privacy Policy, Support or Rate Groundwork. Each link opens in your browser or the App Store, under that site's own policy.
From time to time Groundwork may show Apple's standard rating prompt. Apple runs the prompt and handles any rating you leave; we see ratings and reviews only as the App Store shows them.
Purchases
Groundwork is bought once through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and keeps your name, Apple Account and payment details with Apple.
Sharing a test report
If you tap "Share with my instructor" on a test report, iOS shows its share sheet and you choose where the text goes. It goes only to the people and apps you pick.
Children
Groundwork is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Deleting your data
Settings → Reset all progress erases all your progress and test scores. Deleting Groundwork from your iPhone removes its data from the phone; copies in your iCloud or computer backups follow your own backup settings.
Changes
If anything here changes, we will update this page and the date above before the app changes.
